NittanyEpicurean reviews the 2015 Petite Sirah:
This wine is 100% petite sirah. The fruit was grown on one single acre of the winery’s 18-acre estate mountain vineyard at 2,200 feet elevation in rocky red volcanic soil. Following fermentation, the wine was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels. It comes in at 13.9% ABV. The wine showed a dark ruby color. Black cherry, raspberry preserves, vanilla, licorice and oak could each be found on the nose. Cherry cola, raspberry preserves, vanilla, licorice, oak and hints of mocha followed on the palate where the robust cola notes set the tone for complexity. The wine was full-bodied and exhibited great length along with soft tannins. This wine would be an ideal pair for a roast beef tenderloin with horseradish cream.
