From the winery’s biodynamic-certified estate vineyard reaching elevations as high as 2,200 feet, this is a highly aromatic red with a perfume of chocolate-covered cherry and new leather. On the palate, the grip is firm and dusty, Italian herbs, iron and taut acidity settle atop a mineral base.

Showing a multifaceted bouquet of dark red fruit and earthy tobacco, the 2013 Cab is a bit lighter than the 2016 vintage, but it offers lots of sweet dark fruit flavors accompanied by notes of pepper and tobacco. There’s well integrated oak and a persistent finish with solid tannins. A great steak wine.

Slight tartness on the palate, more of a medium bodied mouthfeel to it despite its 14% ABV. Medium plus acidity, big tannins, slightly herbaceous finish. Stayed very consistent across 3 days while picking up a very attractive mint and savory herb note near the end, this wine is built to last so no rush to consume.
