David Boies

David Boies is most noted for his work in the courtroom. David is the founder and Chairman of Boies, Schiller and Flexner LLP. David was born in Sycamore, Illinois on March 11, 1941. He attended the University of Redlands (1960 – 62) and received a B.S. from Northwestern University (1964), an LLB., magna cum laude from Yale University, (1966) and an LL.M. from New York University (1967).

His love of wine and of California’s beautiful North Coast wine growing region motivated him to seek out and purchase the extraordinary property that is now home to Hawk and Horse Vineyards. His vision of developing a world-class vineyard and his insistence on uncompromising quality at every level of development shine through every glass of Hawk and Horse Vineyards wine. When not in the courtroom, David takes great pleasure in walking the vine rows of his beloved Hawk and Horse Vineyards and spending time with his family.
