2014 Petit Verdot

This vintage seems to have been custom-made for crafting Petit Verdot of perfection. The mild spring and hot summer followed by extended hang time brought subtlety and balance to this elegant wine. Nearly oxblood in color, aromas of ripe blackberry and nutmeg give way to nuanced flavor profile. Notes of deep, dark chocolate, raspberry and spice give way to rich, velvety tannins. Pair with grilled steak with peppercorn sauce or chocolate soufflé.
