Hidden Gem: This bottling stands for a unique varietal, typically a blending grape. The beauty of its production in this region is the richness and complexity of the nose and palate. The aromatics are Olallieberry, Boysenberry, sweet tobacco, dried potpourri, and notes of toasted oak on the nose; the flavors on the palate are youthful dark berries, clove, citrus cream, dried Sagebrush, mild and mouth-watering tannins on the finish. Aerate and pair with smoked meats and hard cheeses. — Tonya Pitts

Very dark garnet in color, this wine smells of black cherry and cassis. In the mouth, rich black cherry flavors have a decent lift thanks to good acidity, and hints of cola and tobacco as the wine finishes under a gauzy blanket of tannins. Dark and rich and thankfully not marred with excessive oak treatment.
2022 Sparkling Rosé / 94 Points / Wine Enthusiast
It is unusual to find roses produced from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, and this one happens to be sparkling, made from high-elevation fruit. The aromas on the nose are fresh and vivacious, with notes of dark plum, cherry, citrus, white flowers, and acai honey. The mousse is creamy with a slight nuttiness. The palate is Bing cherry, orange blossoms, white peach, spice, and good acidity throughout the mouth-watering finish.
2015 Cabernet Sauvignon / Nittany Epicurean
The wine showed a dark ruby almost opaque color. Blackberry, raspberry preserves, cassis, licorice, vanilla, oak and whiffs of eucalyptus all arrived on the nose. Black cherry, raspberry, vanilla, cassis, licorice, oak and eucalyptus followed on a palate teeming with black cherry. The wine was full-bodied and exhibited good length along with moderate tannins. This wine would be an ideal pair for a seared dry-aged New York strip steak.
